If you put it on the pit, wrap in heavy duty foil. After it’s thawed, you can see if you have the typical grocery store whole brisket or cut in half and neatly trimmed. I have a half brisket in my freezer. I need to cook it!
Such a Texan! Assuming everyone has a 'Pit' just waiting for a BBQ to start  :gig:lol:

Well, once you cook this big chunk of meat...have bags and vac sealer ready to part it out to refreeze in meal portions. 😵‍💫. We singles cannot eat that much, soon enough! I "empty" those things from freezer to end up refilling the empty spot. 😔. It is nice to have heat and eat ready tho. 👍

That was a nice "find" however. :old it was put into a "safe place" at the time -- one we can't find.😁😁

I need to get a vac sealer. I do the layers of parchment + tight plastic wrap + zip bag with air all squished out....

Although, if something is good, I'm usually ok eating it for days.
Last time I made a big'ol pot roast it was: pot roast & veggies a few meals, thin sliced over salad a couple of days, cubed up in an omelet a few times, stir fry, then finally the last bits I threw in the food processor and made sort of a 'potted meat' kind of spread.

I have 2, plus a gas grill for “quickie” meals. My very favorite is a home made pit from the tank of a hot water heater. I LOVE that one!
... from way back on page 1 - THIS is my only grill
I need to look... I THINK it ended up in the actual 'storage' stall.
