Got another shower early this morning, pre sun up. It was needed and perfect timing for watering the pastures, a day or 2 early getting things done while the ground is dry.
We have 10 chicks so far hatched out in the incubator. 34 passed candling Friday.

We've actually been getting some rain this year instead of it going around us. We got 2.7" Sat and a tornado warning. Spent an hour in the storm shelter at a friends, where I was in my horse trailer. He called then came and picked me upand I left the windows and door open. A wet bed when I got back. They got 1.5" in under an hour.

I hope you get occasional rain all summer !! Not storms, just regular old wet that keeps pastures going.

Thanks I hope so too. Last year was an inch a month all year. (here, not far away was close to 40" for the year) 6 weeks without a drop isn't unusual in the summer, but usually we get the 4-8 inches once a month of spring before that. We've gotten an inch a week lately with the 2.7" in that bad storm Sat night.
