Well -- my slow day wasn't so much. Replaced bad fence with new. First stretch went well...but, I'd already removed old, so roll out, stretch and nail, 110'. Looking at a goat go over another planned replacement section, I decided I would go do that 80' right then...just across the same field. Ok, now I had to remove that old fence, then roll, stretch, nail.:thFarm days are tough!!!! Tractor has front loader full of stuff. Need to go square that away before I collapse! Came in for water and a short break.

On a double cup - what the machine popped out as one just looked too small  - and it's yumm.
Out earlier this morning for lessons - all went smooth and the dogs and sheep were great. It's been probably close to 3 months off with all the rain. Blue skies and sun, a nice ocean breeze, life is good.
Because a sheep buddy down here forgot to tell me she had a shearer coming (which is now past tense) my three that need to 'donate to the wool' cause are woo woo wooooolie. I've got the tool (smart to put it on the Christmas list way back and forgot - but it was still on the list and ended up under the tree). One of my herding students is going to come out and help get 'er done early next week. One of my detection students would like a fleece (or maybe 3 since there are three colors). Next week will be fun. Crazily looking forward to it.

Doing more than you planned --- always a good thing. Perhaps a long soak in the tub tonight.

Rain!!! 😟. What was to be an overnighter a couple days ago is now a 2-day event :thmaybe 1" per day. So today's fence plans have changed to inside stuff. Cook and clean. It has cooled dramatically, so windows open and oven can be tolerated.👍. It's gonna be low to mid 50s. Hopefully I can be back out there sun/Mon.

For now, coffee rules! Checking lists...

Coffee is ready. Still raining. Dogs and sheep are miserable. It’s 51F degrees, colder than yesterday. I have the propane heater on to take the chill out of the air. I’m going to put a roast in the crockpot for supper tonight. After chores, I’ll touch up paint the shelf tower I built yesterday. Clean house and do laundry.
