Out early - cloudy and temps in the low 50s! - loving the clouds and cool -sometimes called May gray - I'll take it! Obi and I took the sheep down to one of the fill slopes that we hydroseeded last year with the dryland pasture mix. The last week there's been an explosion of mustard! It's taller than me - at least the sheep like to eat it. No - it's not part of the dryland pasture mix. The story goes that the missionaries dropped mustard seed as they traveled up and down Cali so they could find their way from one mission to another. Aaaanddd this was the first invasive species introduction in Cali - way back in the 1700's. While I'll admit the yellow ( -mustard seed also has been found in the adobe bricks of the missions - hmmm yellow brick road?!!) is pretty, it's a #*#$# to walk through.
Need to run to the PO to pick up a package, and get to the hardware store to get some new gloves (wore through the last pair).
Have a great one everybody.
