With the When I'm 64 song drumming in my mind, it's been pushed it aside - it's now...
Sign, sign, everywhere a sign .................
Had yet another Amazon drive try to go through this morning. DH left half the gate open as he had to go to town.
I'd weed whacked for 2 (?) hours (5 batteries probably longer than 2 hrs) , stripped out the sheep stalls and was dripping in sweat when the guy blazed through the half open gate, bottomed out BAD and kept going until ... he saw the other gate - CLOSED.
So, since I was at the barn I closed the half open gate and stood and waited.
He expected me to OPEN the gate. No no no - not me, not gonna happen, whatdaya thing I'm your gate opener??
He got out - AMAZON shirt - I asked 'what are you doing here?' he stammers GSP, delivery, going to __________ road.'
I said you PASSED FOUR signs that say "Not a Thru Street", "Private Property", "No Trespassing" and your "GPS is Wrong" -- he motions with his phone like it is some transporter device and mumbles 'no'
So I ask if the speed limit says 60 do you go 80? He mumbles no. I ask what about 25 mph speed limit signs - do you go slow - no answer. I say 'You bottomed out pretty hard' he mumbles yes. I say you might want to check your oil pan, then I open the gate and say come with me. He does. I take him to the sign just before the gate and point and say "What do those say?" No answer. Tell him to get back in his car and get out.
Ah the joys of GSP being the right to trespass and people who don't read the signs.
Sign, sign, everywhere a sign 🎶🎵🎶
.
I do have to come up with something a little better than that. Something along the lines they use in Justified. Lovin' that show.

Coffee is ready. I’m up early, two of my old girls are going to their new home this morning, along with a brown ram lamb. A neighbor that has been so helpful to me is taking them home. Both ewes are bred to Cooper. He’s excited. Eve and Lucy are big pets, always have twins and will make him a nice starter flock.

This mornings coffee is from my last big can in cabinet. 🤔 added that to shopping list. I'll watch sales and stock up for winter. I'm still good for a couple months but -- buy more! Smells great brewing.

Had BIG rains 3-5 yesterday, with thunder, lightening, winds. That blew through. Then sprinkles and more rain last night, sprinkles now. Got a good soaking! It'll make up for the triple dig bake last week👍

Ahhh, fresh coffee goodness in my cup 😁. Not much for chores this morning, tubs were running over from rain last night. Then off to work.

Wishing it rains, for all who need it!!

Good Morning everyone! I've been getting things together for the BBQ we are having on Sat so that way know what we still need to get or better yet REPLENISH. On Friday evening friends of ours are coming for dinner and to help set up a party tent (10x30). A couple FH co-workers stopped in last night to help get the pool level so it's back to being filled now so hopefully it can be used on Sat.
Last weekend we were told about "Stock the Bar" parties, what's everyone opinion on them?
I would find it EXTREMELY difficult!!
Not these days with the medicine and technology that's out

Up early, lightning!!! Very rare here VERY.
Breakfast done and coffee done but that was after the 5:45 Amazon guy OPENING the chained gate. Walked him to the sign and he would not read it. Not even the first word STOP. Claimed his English wasn’t good. Yeah - right - except for a slight accent his English would pass any high school test I even took, and certainly any that might exist today. So how did he even get a driver’s license!
It’s going to be one of those days. Fog just lifted, got to let the sheep out and I have a date with the weed whacker.

Today a box springs is supposed to be delivered. Maybe I should have a lottery regarding where it will be delivered.
1.) my county road gate. Dump and run just like the mattress. The expensive memory foam mattress.
2.) my driveway gate. It has a caution LGD please enter with assistance sign that is generally ignored.
3.) my front porch. Winner winner chicken dinner.
4.) The neighbor’s. A lot of our stuff ends up there. Don’t know why, we’re clearly marked.
5.) No delivery. They’ve missed two dates so far.
May the odds be ever in your favor. (I’ve never watched whatever that series was.)
We’ve had overnight deliveries held up until driver feels there are enough packages to “make it worth her time” and have even had them run across people at county fair that live at ranches in the area and try to get them to deliver for them!!!
