Coffees is ready. I woke up to a rain shower. It’s already stopped. It’s 58 outside and 70 in the house. Thermostat is set on 66. The sun sets on the backside of the house so it gets the afternoon sun. In winter I open the blinds and use the solar heat, summer I leave them closed.

Good morning all. Thanks for the coffee Bay I'll start another pot. 2 may be needed today for those who have already received the cold. 4 for the wind chill here. West OK was 19 at 6 p.m. last night while East OK was still in the upper 50's. It's across the state now with a wind advisory until 6 p.m. Wed diesel anti-gel was sold out in several stores. Back above freezing on Thursday. Going to split a lot of wood the next few days.

I know you are terribly worried about your lambs. I wish I could be there to help you. Your barn will keep them dry and out of the wind. Their moms will feed them and fill their little tummies with warm milk. Deep bedding and they will be fine.
Ditto. Ya'll will be fine @Skiesblue . Don't forget to breathe.

Mornin’ all!
28 here with high winds. I’m glad they took those huge old trees down that were in front. We were always waiting for one to come through the roof again. Now I just worry about the huge heavy panel coming down on Mister.
The little rabids are getting big. A couple more weeks and I’ll have to start weaning them

With the current cold weather, a little brandy in TheMan’s coffee might be warranted today!

It's supposed to get down to 9F and snow on Monday. Joy, everyone is acting like it's the end of the world. I'm just happy I bought slip-on ice crampons and they arrived yesterday. My property is still wet and squishy so it will be a sheet of ice. This way I should fall less doing chores.

Decaf for me :p today. Hubbs fixing barn water. Two more lambs born. 31 degrees and very windy. Got dogs fed. Sheep dogs enjoying post birthing “benefits” and saving me some clean up. Have to dump chicken waterer and replace with wide rubber bowl to top off when needed. Off to the store to top off our supplies, check critters then nap!

Wow....you guys have some cold stuff going on!!! 🥶❄️

It's way warmer here...but, wind & rain tonight. Staying warm. BUT--there it is, here it comes! Monday cooling starts, Tues night cold enough to make the rain be snow 😱🥶🤐 depends on how far down the cold gets to meet this rain mass 🤔🤬

So today I rode to MD to pick up a tiller for my tractor. 😁 6.5 hr driving today...that blasted Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel is loooong and water, water everywhere! 🥴 $32 round trip. But I got a barely used, King kutter for $1200. 2 yr old used once. Worth the trip! One at Rural King on sale, same distance without tunnel, $3300. 🤣 Yep, found this one "last minute", had just listed a week. Old guy bought, used once, got sick---it sat for a year.

While over there getting from sellers farmer friends house, where he was helping to sell, I bought sweet potatoes. Couple boxes but, he then gave me 2 boxes free...different kinds, white & not as sweet. Will cook some tomorrow. Gonna can a bunch too 😳 I prob have 100#. Already sharing some! I'll keep a few for making slips to plant this coming summer👍 🌿

Got home, fed "starving" goats...😏....inside! Early to bed, up since 5 for chores. Everything heavy frost then. Brrr
