Not so cold here, but quite windy. 37 up to 42 and back down to 39. It will stay around 40 for a bit then drop I think. Supposed to get colder this week like everyone else... just hitting us a day or 2 later as it works it's way east. At least the sun is more out than in and rain is done. Wind will help dry out surface.

Looks like you'll have no problem with the lambs and the cold spell.
Also nice pics. I like the interest they have in the rooster. But I love my chickens.

Windy & warm this morn, 63 yesterday morn was 31 and hard, hard frost. Geesh.... A little rain last night with the warm front. Cooler week of temps on the way

Goat auction today. I'll go by, look & visit. I swear I'm going to sit on my hands!! . 4 recent bottle weaned meat calves consigned -- just want to see what they bring. Been home almost every day for a month and I need to stop spending!! . At this rate I couldn't afford to retire, if this is what I did, bleed bank accounts.

That said, I had planned to buy a tiller this year and just had to buy a truck so...not terrible when I look at it that way. I shopped smart tho! Absolutely a garden 2024.

Coffee, feed chores, then it'll be time to check out the auction. Haven't been in a couple months, so a fun day. Visit friends day

Well, how did the calves do? Weaned ones ought to bring $5-800 at least... 5 wt steers here are pushing $3.00 ... saying it is going to get higher.... for our sake I sure hope so....

I think maybe I need to make a trip down to your place and run some calves for the summer as you have fewer and fewer old retired mini's... do some trading of some beef or something in exchange... D#@n... wish we were closer... we could get into A LOT of things together... DANGEROUS.....

Didn't stay. About 6 looked 12 mos. Too thin to be good buy for anyone , scruffy & one decent young jersey bull, should still be on bottle IMO, maybe was. Only 4 sheep, adult & decent. Maaaaybe 20 goats, most cull. One lot of 4 look good. Even poultry slack numbers. I bought a good tire/rim, spare for a trailer. Pd & left. It was gonna be a giveaway day!

Wanted two beautiful registered black labs, females. 3 & 3 1/2 yo. Beautiful but, not set up for it ,. No one bidding!! $55 each . One of the auction men took both, he'll resell. Hate to see that, split them up and all.
