You aren't getting a tractor where these are or I would of, lay the post pounder down and it will slide down the hill it's so steep! Trees so thick a ATV might barely fit between there and that's if you don't flip the ATV too. If I recall 30° was how steep it was. Add in ice, snow and goopy clay and it's a recipe for disaster for any machinery. We wrap a chain around the post and hook it to the bucket of the tractor. When you tip the bucket back , the bottom pulls the chain straight up and bingo!
I digress, anywho I got 20 more T-posts up need more, but going to have to get them from somewhere else where the sunlight has shined at to defrost the ground and isn't steep. I do have a spot to get the last handful that I need that my backhoe can access to, the rest are going to have to stay till this summer. Even managed to pull up about (6) 4 inch wood posts I sunk about 3' down by hand. Some will have to wait till summer. Bad thing about here is you can look at the survey and see you need this many feet of fence and posts at minimum, but in reality, better double that number for hills, ravines and cliffs or whatever to go up and down. Over all I enjoy this despite the hardship.
