Coffee is ready! I’ve got to ear tag lambs with scrapie tags today. I’ll catch the ones I can catch. I think I’ll ask Chase to stop by after work and help me with the rest. Fast little stinkers! I scrapie tag all lambs. The ones I keep get a real tag.
This is “taking it easy” I gather?

Hot, fresh coffee is superb right now! I'm hoping to ride the tractor a while today...if fields are good. Some spots can be wetter than others. Overall ok.

Fence work looms but, again the wet ground plays into the job. Water levels are high yet. Post holes fill with water a foot down. 🤷🤐

Weather? Wow close to 80* 😁🎉

Hot coffee here too! Gloomy weather, probably about 30 out, still a thick layer of frost on vehicles.
Typical day here, class, go for a run, go to the barn.
Swapped horses with my parents yesterday. On a new adventure with one I don't know, excited for what is coming!
Have a blessed Easter Monday y'all.

44 this morning, hot coffee is the best. Three inches of rain over the weekend. Lots of ranch repair ahead that’s going to have till get squeezed in somewhere in an already tight schedule for the next three days that can’t be juggled around 🫤 - classes to teach and vet appointment. I’m at the end of the proverbial whip.

Nice change of pace this morning, SQUEAL, few seconds later another SQUEAL, followed by about 10 squeals in subsequent order one or two per a second. Okay we are going to have fried bacon at this rate, WTF is going on. Welp apparently the birds decided to go on grand adventure and visit the piglets on other side of the property. That's a first... piggies were trying to get at them to eat them!

And they will! I watched a sow, with new piglets, catch and devour a chicken before I count shout "no!" . They are fast & merciless. 🤐 Yep, watch those birds 🤣🤣

They like snake, too.
Doesn't help I feed them any dead ducklings or eggs that didn't make it after I boil them for 20 minutes. I see them chase wild rabbits that get in their enclosure. I sure hope to see that one end in tragedy one day, especially the chipmunks.
Actually afraid the pigs might get lice or fleas from the wild rabbits, or do I have nothing to worry about?

Garage door broke last nite. Cockeyed wonky lost a wheel. Became dangerous. Left it like it is and found three places to call this a.m.

Hubs is remodeling DD's kid's bathroom. He "thought" that HD or Lowes would have porcelain coated steel tubs in stock. NOPE. You need to order them and they will be here next week. DD is in NYC and returns home on Friday nite expecting a fully done bathroom. Guess who gets to drive to a crummy part of Portland to pick one up this a.m.? Guess who gets to wake son up now at 8:38 a.m.?
