Morning all. Cloudy, damp but a warm up to 70. Then 20 degree plunge sometime tonight. No precip in the forecast but you never know. Hopefully this is the last day for the power comany to be on our land and no more hikes for me to check fences. PC has done a good job closing things up to their credit. Hubbs got the doghouse divided and Moses took the side that gives him a view of the house.
I sometimes question how much he wants to be a sheepdog. He doesn’t have the most dedicated mentor. Speaking of- Caddo is collarless after the fight with Leo. Both boys had some wounds but they are healing and they are amiable. As Caddo ages Leo gets his obnoxious on. Varmit.

Awake at 4:00, got up at 5:15 to get ready for work. On my second cup in the office. Ordered two bags of chicken feed as it was on sale, but I have to pick them up TODAY after work. Not fun, TSC is on the left side of a divided highway on the way home.

Our rain amounted to sprinkles, basically. Area north got harder sprinkles so their roads got wet!

Here...well, goats are out, so no wetness falling
I worked today. Consolidate half boxes & fill shelves space with Christmas candy. Tough job 🙄. Five more stores will get same treatment. :thno samples. Hey, it's fine, easy work 😁 Last week I was clear, then overnight, work appeared. Kinda messed up my plans but, all will be rearranged. Juggle.

Chores are done & I'm in for the night! 👍

Get to waste my morning going to the sheriffs office this morning, second time this week. Doubt it goes anywhere as usual. High of 30°F today and fuel keeps dropping. Great it does at the same time can be sign of the economy finally coming to its senses.

Leaving for work in a few -- just checking things before. Weather says we'll get rains starting after dark today, light stuff. But tomorrow supposed to bring a couple inches. We need the rain but, only at night would be my choice 😉 Work scheduled but hate to drive in rain, so may move job. It's warm though.

I’ve been up for awhile. Been going through old pictures. A friend requested pictures of her commercial ram’s parents and that led to a whole bunch of pictures of grand parents, descriptions and the whole kit n’ kaboodle.

Got tons of laundry to do. My friend Sarah brings her 2 dogs and the 17 year old weiner dog sleeps with her autistic daughter. The other one sleeps with her and her husband. I accommodate visiting dogs, then I wash everything, sheets and blankets. Her dogs get on her furniture, not allowed here. Don’t even think about it. I have a bunch of small throws I keep on the back of the couch in winter, yup, them too.

Windy windy WINDY out there. Power is off in a lot of county - preventative measures. In my little area so far so good. BIG Santa Ana through Wed/Thurs.
Planning on grazing this morning then barn chores. Just getting light out now.

Found this online about Bovaer: (just fyi or points to start research or whatever or ignore......
.
Philip Swann This week, Arla Foods announced they're feeding their cows a chemical called Bovaer®.
The pitch? Reduce methane emissions by 27%. The reality?
Another disturbing experiment in tampering with nature for profit.
Here's what you need to know:
🛑
What's in Bovaer®?
The active ingredient, 3-NOP, isn't some harmless magic fix. It's a synthetic compound linked to DNA damage, reproductive harm, and endocrine disruption in animal studies. Oh, and it's paired with industrial chemicals like propylene glycol (used in antifreeze) and silicon dioxide.
🛑
Cows aren't the problem.
Methane is a natural byproduct of a cow's digestion, a process evolved over millennia to sustain their health and balance ecosystems. This isn't a flaw; it's biology.
The real enemy? Industrial farming, monoculture crops, and a food system prioritizing convenience over sustainability.
🛑
Messing with nature isn't the solution.
Feeding cows synthetic chemicals disrupts the delicate microbial ecosystem in their stomachs. This could lead to nutrient deficiencies, health issues, and a ripple effect on the quality of milk and meat.
🛑
Cows are not machines to
"optimize." They're living creatures central to regenerative agriculture.
When left to graze naturally, they sequester carbon, build healthy soil, and provide food that nourishes us properly.
🛑
Follow the money.
This isn't about saving the planet.
It's about grants, greenwashing, and corporate profits. Bill Gates and BlackRock have heavy investments in methane-reduction tech like Bovaer®, creating dependency systems that choke out small, ethical farmers.
When was the last time a massive corporation did something "for the environment" without strings attached?
⭐️
What can you do?
------------------------
⭐️
Stop supporting companies like Arla, Tesco, and Morrisons that enable these practices.
Instead:
⭐️
Buy from local, pasture-raised farms.
⭐️
Choose grass-fed, raw dairy and meat.
⭐️
Support farmers who respect nature, not exploit it.
⭐️
talk about these issues and become more aware of what you eat and drink
