Evening everyone! I'm trying to stay awake right now seeing how FH has to go back to work tonight to do brining to prepare for the storm on Sat. As of right now VDot is only calling for brine and no trucks/plows but that could change as of tomorrow.

@Mini Horses would you drive a standard? My son has a F250 diesel 5 speed. I wanna say a 1987, but I could be wrong. It gets lots better mileage than his dually, so once he gets his RV camper set up, he brings dually home and takes his old truck back to wherever he’s working. He wants $15 K for it.
Wow that's more than I'm getting for my 2011' that I'm selling to go back to the 96'
Kinda normal here. Except it normally goes from really warm, with warm ground temps then drops drastically to 25 to -8 depending on the storm coming.

They have been brining the roads here.... I went north and the roads were already done up there... luckily it was dried so not adding to the "rotting" of the undercarriage of the car... DS told me to NOT drive on the roads when they first put it down and it was wet as it is SOOOOO Corrosive..... I make it a point of not driving on it when it is wet....
We are looking at some snow/ice mix here with the elevation and closer proximity to the mountains... there will be plows on the trucks here... but it is looking more like some ice/mess....

@Baymule yep, I can drive manual...first car ever was one. Not sure auto was a thing back then 🤣

But, no diesel. Nope. Plus 250 is overkill for me. But thanks. That's a hefty price around here for that truck. I can get an 05, full loaded, 150 for 10k. Might buy it, too....😂. Hate shopping.

Looked at a truck today that was at first glance a beauty until I looked closer, then I plopped on the ground -- much to owner surprise -- and no oil/fluid leak evidence but totally rusted main frame!! I could push my thumb thru it, several places. Well, that was wasted time 😖. Guy had said minor spot on lower panel by door....wooeee. didn't he see the spots in the truck bed?? Several. Told him he had an easy $3k to remove bed, cab & get new frame. Have a good day 🥴👋😂

I had a depression era mother. A stern one. Right now she would be scolding me soundly for boasting about food. Imagine if you can, that mindset and the economic conditions that brought it. Let us all be careful stewards of what we have and what we can produce.
