Coffee anyone ?

I had a depression era mother. A stern one. Right now she would be scolding me soundly for boasting about food. Imagine if you can, that mindset and the economic conditions that brought it. Let us all be careful stewards of what we have and what we can produce.

We on this forum are so blessed to have what we have.

I’m awake, does anyone have coffee? Pouring rain, looks like Oklahoma is getting rain over almost the whole state. @CLSranch are you getting rain? No coffee? Gus’s I’d better get up and make some. Fresh coffee coming up yall!

Thanks for the coffee bay. We got a light dusting of snow and some sprinkles of rain. I still can't see the rain gauge. Right at 32 degrees so will stay liquid so that's good.

Up and dressed at 3:45, toast while car was warming up and frost melting off windshield; and out the door to go test. Thermometer said 20 at house, and the car said 14 at the farm at 4:45 a.m.
It was COLD OUT.
Station said the low north of where I tested got down to 11...... I do know the ground was HARD.....
Interesting weather coming tonight and tomorrow....

Upper 40’s and light rain here. Got Hubbs off to the airport for a funeral. Expected as Aunty was 99 and in hospice. I tried to research medical services in our area as it is likely Hubb’s parents will move in. My phone calls went offshore where I couldn’t make anyone understand even the most basic questions. Is the facility presently accepting patients? What insurance is accepted? What is the range of procedures? Suzie Offshore spoke excellent English but couldn’t or wouldn’t depart from her script. Transferred to Jane Offshore who was intent on admitting a patient and couldn’t switch gears either. Man I miss America.

I just got home with it! So glad it's over.

Looked at 2005-2018 Ford's, Chevy, you name it. From fully loaded to strip down. Set my limits on $$. Looked all week, on net too -- became confusing. Picked a used dealer, with 5 star BBB, exc people reviews and 3 trucks to choose...plus one that had just come up there as a curious look. Had someone take me 45 miles there & leave me. I would buy or walk home

Bought the oldest one, the "curious" to see. Wrote a check and I am thrilled. Alas, not 4WD. Otherwise, perfect for me. Way below budget. Carfaxed...no accidents & yrs of dealer serv records, shows the 109, 642 miles are correct, original. Interior like new. Power Dr/wdws/mirrors, cruise, AC/heat, radio, power ph outlet, full bed w/liner. Runs like a scared rabbit. Such emotional release to walk out & have a truck that's driveable!
