Can't say I've slept at all recently. Yesterday I got to work at 7:15, and went to the rodeo afterwards, so I left at about 10:40. Let's just say tired Poka was very obviously tired

@Alaskan I'm not sure how far your son and his bride to be are into their wedding planning but if they can find "wedding events" in their area to attend it will help immensely plus there's LOTS of free stuff there and raffles they might possibly win. There is also online wedding websites (Wedding wire, Zola wedding, The Knot) to assist.

Good Morning all. coffee is ready. Watching the weather we're going to have a roller coaster ride. The highs in Tulsa are 46, today, 38 tomorrow, 56 Thur and down to 25 Sun.
I'm still waiting for that Insurance check.

Leftover Italian for breakfast. Planning my day.

News says the storm crossing the country -- huge area! -- left snow in a lot of places. Saying 18" in Maine & surrounds. I'm on the southern, lower end of this event and a rainfall of 3" possible , along with 25mph+ winds. Gonna be a lot of fun -- NOT! Add to that, scattered in morning, probably hardest hit at dark, 5-10 pm. Seems a lot of us will get similar weather A blessing if you need rain. Essentially we're looking at shoreline flooding; overfull rivers and ditches in my farm area...WET fields.

Last year we had an overly rainy Spring, hope this will be early and over. I need a garden!! I need to plow first...mud doesn't work with that. Crop farmers here are concerned, too. Things got in late in 2023. Early plantings drowned out.

Going to be a weather event here today. Winds up to 40 MPH, rain all day. I woke up at 7, put coffee on and went outside to get chores done. 10 day forecast says in low 20’s next Monday-Wednesday with possible snow.
Snow, even one inch, leads to panic, frenzied shopping at grocery stores and school closures. I’ll go tomorrow for feed and toss in an extra bag of dog food. I’ll grab a few bags of pine shavings, trying to keep sheep dry, not succeeding at that.
Just whisper snow and it sets off the crazies. I’ll get all mine done tomorrow. It might not even snow, but I’ll make sure I can hunker down a few days and let the crazies have at it.

38 here. I have to make a feed run to Tractor Supply. I usually get 26 40# bags to fill up all my storage cans (and to get the 5% bulk discount). Worried that my car will sink in the soft ground when I drive to the back to unload.

I guess if I judge that the ground is too soft, I will just haul 3 or 4 bags at a time in my wagon. Oh well. Gotta have feed. And at these prices, I don’t want to miss out on the 5%.
