Good morning from a frosty Wyoming!
Really dark out for this time of morning. Slept in today, made a whole 6:40. Forgot how late in the morning 8AM feels when you are used to getting up at 5 something.
Thanks for the coffee, headed to ski today!
Y'all have a fantastic and productive Saturday.

try planting daikon radishes, long root radishes. Let them go to seed, die back and rot.
I just got what the co-op had. For the same reason as the Daikons. I don't think they had radishes at the time, so I asked for something to break up the clay, deep roots and help the soil. They said they'll do it. I had some that looked like a volleyball. I should've replanted again in the fall, (across the fence) it's supposed to be good food for the deer after everything else is dying.

Daikon good, mangel beets good -- deep rooted. I also use turnips. Tops the grazers love....surprised that the goats & chickens almost fought over the actual turnips! Had a few front end loaders dumped in a pile and wow--i ended up using a machete to chop some, tossed over fence and it was like candy to them. Didn't plant this winter, no tiller in time. Will sure have a plot next year! I do have some turnips that grow big tops, not good to eat root, just for graze. They're going in this month.

I hope to begin growing some foodstuff this year. 🤞Anything will help with that bill. Couple pastures are getting a makeover. It's time to do more of it.. 😊

Took the dog on a walk, made 50 acres today, almost halfway around the property. I hope we can get the 300 acres to north of us, come summer I need to submit a offer for it somehow, someway before they pass away or it gets sold off too a real estate agent. The last 20 acres we bought attached to us I beat the real estate agent by 5 minutes and they were glad to not to have sold out to one.
Last day of 50°F, headed back down for the winter.

Coffee is ready. It rained last night, but I don’t think it was much. I had Anatolians in the yard and they were barking a lot. Coyotes were making a lot of noise. I went outside and praised the dogs, loudly, and the coyotes shut up. LOL

Been up. Having coffee. Taking it slow -- why not? 😁

Cooler than I'd like but, I dislike cold.

I'm outta cat food after this morning feed, means I'll have to go to get that today. Might be greatest effort I make 🤣 getting lazy. Laundry was done yesterday. Cooked big meal last night, so leftovers today. Need bread. I'll make a loaf in bread machine. I don't eat much bread but chickens love my extras.🙃 We share. Need to use up some flour. Plus I have this little greenhouse/plant starter thing to assemble. Might do that. 🫤 Lazy decisions. Motivate me coffee!!! Motivate me. 😖
