YAHOO! Moved my injured doe from field into shelter. She's one who got hung in fence almost a week ago. Wasn't able to stand but did start moving self around in grass. I've been doing room service and she's eating/drinking well. No signs of injury beyond extreme hyper extension in hips. Weather has been good and her twins are with her. I've seen her get up on front knees, raise hips some and "crawl" a short distance -- further each day, so she's beginning to use her hips. Plus it's best PT I could give 🤷. Can't walk yet. I got her onto a tarp and pulled her about 150' to the pasture shed. Let me tell you, she's 2X my weight but, it's done!!! :old:clap I feel like a plow horse must

Starting to rain now....knowing it was coming was my incentive to pull harder!! Could not leave her out in it. She's in a big dry shed, lots of orchard hay, plenty of water and her kids with her.😊 Sleep well girlie.

Barn hay racks then got filled...evening chores done!

Congratulations on getting her in out of the weather. I’ve had nearly grown sheep and lambs hang themselves up and finish with rear legs not functioning. I had about a 50% rate of success getting them back on their feet. I think nursing kids will help her to to get up. Good luck and keep us posted. They can be tough critters.

Thanks BlueSky...hoping she gets back. Will get a sling under her in a day or so and a pulley in the shed to lift her to help stand some. Good doe so 🤞hopeful. Why climb fences?? :he:idunno

Still raining, a steady all nighter. Winds gone. Waiting for daylight to see what all the weather left me 😉. Power good, so coffee will be made  & be needed.

Woke up at 4 AM. My son popped in Friday night, leaves this morning to be back at work tomorrow morning. Wind and dust storm in west Texas where he’s putting up windmills. Can’t hang those big blades when the wind is up, so the crew got a few days off. He’s in the middle of nowhere, it’s an hour to nearest laundromat and groceries. He’ll stop on way back and buy groceries.

Light winds still, overcast and WET!!! Just shy of 4" 😱
Animals all ok. No more shelter damages. Chickens are happily eating drowned worms. Goats chowing down dry hay I just provided. Injured doe had moved herself further back into shed I moved her hay & water closer. Yep, things seem ok.

Grass seems to have grown an inch overnight! Rain will make that happen. Green up will rush in now.

My bad -- left a car window partially down 🥴🫨🙄 psgr side
