I'm obviously not a Doctor but in my opinion, what he is dealing with is Bipolar disorder, formerly called manic depression, is a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression).

My ex-wife was a card carrying manic depressive and in spite of the drastic mood swings, I stuck it out for 17 years. That came to an end when she pulled a gun and tried to see how close she could get to my head without hitting me. I feel for him but he has a hard battle ahead to make it work. I'm one of the most understanding people that I know but even I couldn't make it work.

Maybe this friend can relate to his level better as she is apparently a friend and confidant of GF. That's a good thing...as he knows, she knows and he will understand better.🤫😊. Like you, I see GF needing an unlimited amount of therapy. Lot of baggage there, things we've discussed before.

The farm/farmer time thing would be the same no matter the job -- 24/7 is her need. Jealous of time for any job, a very insecure person. This therapist has a real job ahead. Sad situation.

Hit the post button....
They got the windshield in the forester yesterday... had some time that was not scheduled so went ahead and did it. It looks good, is paid for and I will pick it up as soon as it suits him to do so.

Today started out chilly but sunny....38 up to 62.... and is cooling off quick this evening. Showers coming in early hours tomorrow and some off and on, but then serious rain on Friday....

The heifers are in the barn lot and small field.... so I guess he is going to do the sorting on Sat morning. I am going to have to test Sat morning, but should be home by 9 so should not be a problem. Then we will go to the "cow sale" the following wed..... take the open cows, and at least 2 of the 3 that kept getting out as the one might just be more of a follower... if he moves her out back with the other group. and better fences, maybe she will get it together... but the 2 will get sold with their calves... one is his, the ringleader, and one is mine and she is nearly as bad. I am sick of it and although she is a decent cow... she is nothing I will lose alot of sleep over. Besides, prices might be pretty good as they are trending up.... There are also at least 4 or 5 that are open... I have to get in the 2 at the nurse cow field that lost the calves, in the next couple of days, so they can go also. Might try to do that tomorrow... they can stay in the small lot as there is water in the troughs from all the rain and there is hay in the barn I can give them....

The owner has decided that we are going to have to put up electric fence, at the nurse cow field, to keep them off the driveway so the DIL b#@&h won't have to drive in any cow sh!t when they go up there... good thing is, the fence will be good and hot and we will not be making any places for them to go through except the one place we will go through to get in and out of there...., so that they will not be able to go riding all over the field and all that anymore. It is going to be alot of wire... he does not want permanent posts... but there will have to be a few wood posts or we will not be able to get it tight and keep it that way.... Guess we will have to use high tensile and electrify it... dreading this as it is one more thing to have to deal with... DS doesn't want to lose this pasture at this point... I am to the point that I don't really care... I expect that it will wear off with them when they have to stay on the driveway and not park where they want except in their little fenced in lot/play yard place too.....we'll get it done and see how things go this year.

Got a line on a fence guy to get my property done... he says he will come look next week, they are working on another place away from here....not waiting on DS anymore....

I'm heading to bed, not very good mood so maybe I will wake up in a better one tomorrow.

I’m right there with you @Mike CHS I was going to say Bi-polar but you beat me to it. I made it 13 years with the psycho sperm donor to my children. LOL He was even worse to his next wife and she left him after 10 years. A couple of live in girlfriend’s later, one of them insisted he see a doctor and he was diagnosed as Bi-polar. I’d just as soon the coroner diagnose him as no longer breathing.

Jan, the GF saved your son from a lifetime of misery. She will never get better, she will ALWAYS be a screwy mess. He may not think so now, but he sure dodged a bullet.

Friday morning. Wet, rainy and cooled way off to mid 40's. Supposed to be this way all day. Crappy day.

Going to make some breakfast and do dishes for starters..... the chicken carcass is in a pot to cook down for broth/soup.... Gotta pull something out to thaw for dinner.

Need to run the vacuum so today is a good day to do it. General pick up in the house stuff too. Get trays of bottles ready for Sat morning and another farm wants to test Sunday eve so I will go do them. Been slacking off all week.

AGREE 100%!!!!!
I hit 40hrs at work yesterday.. this whole day is overtime and I'm TIRED. 1 more hour to go and I'm DONE - then home to feed the critters and varmints.
... gotta admit, I'm GLAD I only have to make the 2 quick stops (cows & chickens) between the car and the house on this cold, rainy, gloomy afternoon.
Feels like a take-out pizza kind of Friday night

Change of plans AGAIN..... DS talked to the couple of guys about the cattle...both said it was not a good idea to ship tomorrow... too much problems with the storms etc... and to not ship the heifers but to ship the steers he was going to keep for the WVA deal... and run the heifers out there.... These steers will make him $.25-.40 a lb over what he has got in them at this time.,.. if they put on 2-300 lbs this summer they will bring more per head but alot less per pound than he has in them overall and will only make $50-100 head with the forecast of fall prices on the larger size. I told him this a few weeks ago, that I thought he ought to sell the steers and graze out the heifers.....
So the NEW PLAN is to ship the steers next Friday.... There will be 35 to go at least so will make at least 2 trailer loads.... maybe 3.....the one guy is an auctioneer and a friend and he said he is shipping at least 1 or 2 loads of his steers next week so they will be advertised and more buyers there hopefully.....

Still planning to take the cull cows next wed along with the couple of cows with calves that are problems and possibly one or 2 more.... I will get the 2 cows in this weekend at the nurse cow pasture....

Been cold wet and crappy weather out there today.... Supposed to have high winds tonight then clearing out and some sun for a couple days...

Sounds like you all got the weather I had last week this time.
Yes, the forecasters said it was coming from the CA weather to us.... more going above us in snow and a colder arctic air coming down.... and a line staying south along the VA/NC border that looks to have been pretty rough coming through TN....
