Wed morning... Down to 42 and we had a shower this morning. Got with Deb, and we went and picked up her Jetta that they got the brakes done and they said her rotors were good. Then went back and got my outback... brakes, rotors, and 4 new tires.... OUCH... except that I was figuring 8-1000 and it was close to the 1,000.... Drives good at least. Once the muffler gets done it will pass inspection in April . Put it on the cc that the statement just closed so will have nearly a month before it even comes out on the statement... so 45 days to pay with no interest since this card was paid off... You have to make these cards work FOR you if you are going to use them.
Sun is trying to come out and is supposed to warm up.

Took some bread crusts out of freezer to make stuffing for a chicken to put in the oven to bake. Think I am going to make some pudding. I still feel "blah"...

Farm scheduled for tomorrow and another on Friday.... latest forecast is for mid 70's tomorrow... then down to 30 Friday night and 30's Sat with possible wintry mix. Totally nuts.
Daffodils are blooming here... mine are about ready to show the flowers also. See lots of green budding on some of these shrubs/bushes. Way too early....

Friday... temps yesterday were 56 to 76 not quite as warm as they said but we had more clouds than some areas. Stilll way too warm for this time of year.

Went to the dr finally as I was just not getting past this cold/bug. Took x-rays also as I have some fluid... he said he would not call it pneumonia.... BUT..... pretty close. Put me on an antibiotic and a cough suppressor since I said I could not get any sleep from coughing so much all night. Cannot take either with milk products.... allow at least 2 hours before and after before consuming milk products... okay that is not a big deal. HAVE to take the antibiotic with food..... So I waited til I got home and wasn't real hungry but made some broccoli and ate a piece of bread then took antibiotic... then waited about an hour and took the cough gel capsule. When I was getting prescription, the pharmacist said that had to swallow the gel cap not dissolve it in mouth but that it worked really good.
I did good. Coughing subsided within a half hour and figure the antibiotic was working. DS came by to put some stuff in the freezer... liver, heart, tongue that other people did not want with the first of the 3 beeves he picked up that were ready. 2 halves picked up yesterday... I made grilled cheese sandwich for him and a 1/2 for me.... then he left a little later. He is lost in the evenings with not being able to go "home" to her and the various kids that are there but is face-timing with her daughter nearly every night. And he is getting her from school today and she will ride along as he feeds and then they are going to the rodeo at the horse center arena this evening.

This morning, I got up and came in took the antibiotic and went and made a bowl of cream of wheat. 15 min lapse time???? Got 1/3 the cereal eaten, got very sick to my stomach and back up everything came.... Seems that I cannot tolerate this antibiotic unless the food is already in my stomach.... WOW.... but then I seldom take any kind of pills for anything except for vitamins etc.... Hoping that some of it got in my system before it came back up.... I mean, it was feeling a little "queasy" to running in 3 minutes...

Antibiotic is doxycycline.... I am very allergic to the "cillins" so cannot have any thing like amoxicillin or anything. 2x day so will take evening one early after I eat....
But I did get a decent night's sleep and am not near as tired this morning. Have not coughed much at all yet... will take a pill in a little bit though, so it doesn't get "ahead of me".....
I cancelled the herd yesterday afternoon as I was feeling pretty weak. I will go test this afternoon though and see if I can reschedule the other one for maybe monday.....

Got down to 49 last night and up to 60 now. I had put the spider plants out with the "warm spell" and will bring them in before I go to test since it is supposed to drop temps and I will be home real late. Still calling for sleet and wintry mix early on Sat.... DS is probably going to have to work Fri night... go in at midnight or even 4 a.m. as they are watching the timing... it is supposed to change back over to rain after a few hours.... temps staying in the upper 30's then back to the 50's on Sunday. Don't think DS is going to ship the load of calves on Sat.... especially not if the weather is crappy and with the heavier snows they have been getting all through the northern tier of states, it would depress prices some; and no one wants to receive cattle in crap conditions and they will be more likely to get shipping fever/pneumonia etc....

I'm going to go out and get the meters and hoses into the outback.... take out the 3 "good" tires .... already left the "bad tire" at the silage pile yesterday..... keep the others for spares in case of an emergency.... Need to leave early enough to go by the Verizon place as somehow I have managed to screw up the icon for the voice mail.... it still shows but faint colored and when you touch it, it says contact was removed... so I cannot access the voice mail again. I really do not like having a smart phone..... except for it's size and sliding in the pocket easily....

Need to get out and going.....
