I would like to put signs out around our pasture and could use suggestions. I have had a few neighbors coming closer than I would like and one of them told me they brought some things over to our bucks one day to eat. I know they don't mean any harm and I don't want to be rude but this is not a petting zoo and you can't just come bring all your grand kids over when you want.

A sign is a good idea. I have seen several that outline the rules of the farm. Lemme see if I can find it..BRB. :)

Well, not seeing the one I am thinking of. Amazon.com and Jeffers.com has some but not exactly what you are going for. My MIL makes signs and licensee plates...maybe you could write a list of your own farm rules and get a plate printed at one of those mall kiosk things.

I don't mean to hijack your thread Amp but if you don't mind....I would love suggestions for rules and maybe polite ways to say them? Signs that maybe others have posted relating to this?

Goatherd I LOVE that sign! Did you make it yourself? That sign does pretty much say it all. Clue the rest of us in... where did you get it?
Please and thank you.

Hmm very good idea about posting signs. I have just a small property with goats chickens turkeys and ducks. No one really bothers the animals but on occasion I get people asking me if they can walk around to look at them. Im not against that but also would like a polite sign to tell people to stay off the property and away from the animals. Like posted above most of us are not petting zoos. How about a sign that simply states " NOT a petting zoo" lol. Ill be watching for some suggestions.

Great sign!

We had a friend with horses and goats.... a neighbor thought they'd be nice and dump a 50lb of corn over their fence. Outcome was not good.

Maybe a sign that mentions don't feed the animals please!

We have no signs... we have Livestock Guardian Dogs...sign enough. ;)

Posting a BIO-Secure Area sign will help too... people get afraid when they read those words! LOL
