You take beautiful pictures of your chicks!
Thank you!
They are lovely birdies!☺️. With that many, can they go to bird fair? Or are chickens not offered, just caged birds? If last is the case, I'd sure make flyers for that affair -- promote!!

And of course we want crochet chicken picks. 🤣

How about crocheting by the AC? 😁😂
Yeah, no poultry allowed, just caged birds. But that is a great idea to make a flyer. Thanks!

You mention the AC. Now that I think about it, crocheting a little bird is a lot different than crocheting a giant Afghan on my lap. It might not be too hot to continue with those. We keep the air around 76, but I tend to run hot, and have just never liked to crochet if the weather isn’t chilly. I’ve been happy with our fairly chilly spring so far. Nice excuse to stay inside and crochet instead of going outside and weeding. Oh man! Those weeds!!
Love baby chick pix! 🥰
And I second - some
Pics of the crochet chicks 🐥
Ok, I found some on my phone. The first one I made, my husband really liked and claimed for his own.

Then I found yarn that spoke to me and said “Barred Rock!”

The skein was enough to make a whole family.

Those eggs fit inside the mama.

Here is the yarn waiting to become more chickens (left bag) and parrot type birds in the right bag.

So far I’ve only made one prototype of a cage bird and I just used a thick blue leftover yarn I had and it didn’t come out very well. Thick yarn makes a way too big bird. So now I’m working on one with regular (worsted weight) yarn. I can take photos of those to add later.

I have some plastic rings that I wrapped tightly with yarn, tied off and cut off the rings, making a Pom Pom of yarn. 2 sizes . Hot glued together with a bit of red felt for a beak. They made chicks. Haven’t thought about those in years.
I don’t suppose you have any pictures of them?

Thanks, @Mini Horses !

Oh Finnie. I'm sooooooo in love with that photo of the chick next to the flowers, and of COURSE, the crocheted chickens.

I'd look into blowing up that photo, perhaps 5x7, mounting it and selling them at the sale in cute frames, that you would source from a thrift store, estate sale or something. Sell them for $10. Darling!!!!!!!!!
