Good morning, fuzzi. I hope things improve today. So sorry to read all the problems you had with the hospital over the weekend. :hugs Very grateful you know someone with the right influence. Sheesh. It shouldn’t take going over someone’s head to get proper treatment! What are people supposed to do that don’t have any inside track?

Good... afternoon? Wow, time flew this morning.

I'm at the hospital with my sweetie. He still doesn't recognize me but was very appreciative of the Frosty I brought. He said it was very good, ate about 8 spoonfuls.

May you all have a safe and Merry Christmas!

Today Ron remembered his name, still doesn't know who I am. It's okay.

I thoroughly enjoyed this video project...which I am not capable of doing, but it gives me some ideas:

And today RON REMEMBERED WHO I AM.

And knew my name.

I cried.

Our son has been taking advantage of his father's absence to clean up the extra bedroom, "Man Cave", in case we need to install Ron in there on a hospital bed. It's not a big room, but there's a flat screen TV on the wall and a DVD/BluRay player, so it wouldn't be hard to convert it into a convalescent setting for him.

Tonight I offered my services to help slog through boxes that were just sitting on the Man Cave floor. I knew I was married to a pack rat (I'm a bit of one myself) but I was still amazed as we opened up box after box of ATM slips, Walmart receipts, coupon flyers, TV Guides, unopened bank statements, etcetera...all mixed in with assorted hardware and office supplies. I think some of the boxes were from before we moved into our house, 18 years ago.

I discovered some brand new tools that should be put to work instead of sitting in a box. I still haven't fully unpacked and integrated my father's tools, two years since he passed, but it's on my radar for milder weather (50° and up). I look forward to getting a work area set up in the big shed.

In the corner I found a salt crystal lamp that was still wrapped in tissue paper, unused. It's now my living room night light. And I found Ron's Army basic training photo. THAT went in my dresser drawer until I can scan it properly! There's other stuff that I plan to pass on to our grandchildren when they're old enough.

It's a little bittersweet.
