May I fix your grammar for a minute? You named this post “gardens and chickens… and goats?” But you should have said gardens, chickens, and goats. My gramma was an English teacher. Have a nice day!
My grandmother was an English teacher as well. But the internet isn't a grammar class, and I often write with less than correct syntax in order to be artistic, or make a point.

You're welcome.

Now, I would recommend that you look up the definition of "tact".

Not your place to "FIX" someone else's choice for their thread title... on top of that it was partly that the goats were an "add on"...
AND, there are several posts that you have made where your grammar is not very stellar. Lots of misspellings and lack of apostrophe's.

I sent you a private message, but I'll make it public now.

Unacceptable! You are out of line.

I've seen plenty of misspellings in your posts and incorrect use of words.

I am so sorry for beating rude. I can not spell correctly to save my life. The only reason I can pass ELA is that I can fix grammar. A am very sorry and I fully respect that you called me out. Thank you for calling me out.
Thank you.

There have been many times in my life when I have said the wrong thing, or even the right thing at the wrong time.

Peace. :hugs

Today my chickens got some cudweed.

This is cudweed:

These are my chickens eating cudweed:

:gig

When they're finished there's nothing left except dirt, they eat it all: leaves, stems, roots!

Backyard photos

From the front, facing west.

Compost area on left (rain barrels to be installed)

View attachment 111908
Looking back, just past the compost barrel. Downed trees took out the fence along the left. I'm getting a tree "guy" to remove the trees and clear out the brush so I can have the damaged sections of chain link fence replaced.

That's my hoop coop on the right.

Behind the coop, southwest corner of the property. Vines will be removed from the tree when the rest are done.
View attachment 111910Looks "goaty".

View from the back fence. Those are my raised bed gardens, not going anywhere. The green brushy area to the left just needs to be chopped to the ground. The burn pile is waiting for November.

Old shed, maybe convert to goat shed?

View attachment 111913
Northwest corner...a goat paradise? Chain link behind is in good condition.

View attachment 111914
North side. Property line and chain link fence is just beyond the cedar trees. The guy next door rents, and his backyard is 6' tall, mostly dog fennel :sick

Looking east, cedar trees and property line are on the left.

I see lots of possibilities here, especially along the back and south (woods) side fences.

Thank you! The sheds/barns with a "G" above the doors were purchased, but they were second-hand, used, so a lot cheaper!

The tan shed with red/brown trim was here when we bought the house. It's in bad shape but may work for a future goat shelter.
