Poka_Doodle, thanks. The stress is over wellming at times, think the mechanic has messed up my 7.3L idi and my Jeep WJ has a leaking radiator and a Short, my x left me with 51.28 to feed our son, pay bills etc. So I try to handle the stress, sometimes it gets me way down, but I have a little boy to raise so I need to sell, pay the cc's she maxed out and build a new life with my son in Texas. I'm very greatfull to belong to community like this, real people that care for others as I do.

Another big Howdy and Welcome from the Great Lone Star State. where the stars at night are big and bright! Yep, sometimes the road gets a tad rocky and the choice of path in the woods gets a little dark, but with the Good Lord willing the sun does come up. So, grab yourself a beverage from that there table and one for your son. I'll shoo the dog off the bench for the two of you. Like the "all night trucker network", we're open all the time and we're good about fostering dreams, hopes and plans.

One piece of unsolicited advise: make sure you have a well, or can drill one, in West Texas where water is more valuable than oil.

How muchmuch is the cost for having a well drilled?

I live in Smith county. Wells (good ones) run about 600 feet deep and cost $10,000 to $12,000. We are on community water and the bill is a heck of a lot cheaper that that! We are building a barn with a metal roof. When completed, am considering a water catchment system, if for no other reason, to water the animals.

Wells may have other costs in other areas. Wood county has lots of springs and creeks. There is a wet weather seep/spring on our property.
