I have that book! I haven’t read it in several years. I got it out last night but fell asleep. LOL
Ha ha, you all talking about that book, got me to go on Amazon just now and order it. And I neither have sheep nor am allowed to ever get sheep! But I will be able to read about them! (If I don’t fall asleep 🤭)

Ah - then it's like some people do with dogs then. Hide-a-pill (which doesn't work for mine they eat the wrap and spit the pill).
Have you tried the two-treat method? I think it was @canesisters who posted it. Show them two treats, one with the pill in it and one plain. Give the pill-laden treat first while holding the plain one in front of their face ready to give immediately after. They will not waste time unwrapping the pill because they are anxious to get the second treat. It really works!

How many tablets do you give per day?

12 tablets. I crush them and sprinkle them on top of her grain. I separate her from the others to make sure she’s getting it. She eats it without any problems. Only need to give them for 2-3 days.

But if you ever end up with sheep you’ll be prepared. It’s a good book. Easy read.

@Baymule another thing you can give your ewes while pregnant for easy lambing is apple cider vinegar.

I have an old coffee grinder I use to crush pills t drench my animals. Works for horses and all livestock. Learned that from an old time vet (like Dr. Pol). I also have an old WaterPik I use to flush any deep punctures. Same vet taught me that trick when I had a horse with deep cellulitis caused by a puncture wound.

These guys are too smart. Heck they will pick rice out of their meals leaving a pile of rice next to the bowl. I just do the old down the throat - pill on back of tongue, gently hold mouth shut and hold a super tasty high value treat in front of their nose. Tell them swallow, wait until they do and then let them take that treat (usually chicken).
.
AH on the pills for sheep - crush and grain or crush and drench - Gotcha! Duh on me. Learning all the time. Thanks!
