Munchkin 2 is now 3 weeks old (yesterday). He was over his birth weight at two weeks old and I weighed him at 6 pounds 5 ounces two days ago, so he's putting on weight. He's finally starting to feel sturdy when we hold him but he's still in newborn sizes.

He likes holding in his burps and doing a lovely waterfall impression and spitting up all the milk we get down him. He is not a fan of diaper changes with cold wipes and even less of a fan of outfit changes when he gets spit up everywhere.

He's eating between 2-4 ounces a feed and he's eating every 3 hours or so. Last night he was up a lot, definitely think I need a nap today to recover. Thankfully he sleeps pretty well when he's laying on me, but then I need to be careful not to fall asleep too.

Cats are finally starting to warm up to him, and have sniffed him several times. They will revert to being wary and skittish of him when he starts moving around and getting grabby.

Finally got out to the garden to check on things more in depth since the baby came. There were about 10 plants I had been babying or trying to get recovered that were now definitely dead. I dumped the dirt into one of the raised beds I've been trying to fill, so the area looks a bit better now it's less cluttered.

The sprinkler doesn't look like it's watering all the rows of the in ground garden so one row of the black beans looks yellowed, not sure if that means it wasn't enough water or if its starting to get ready to be harvested? The pinto bean pods are changing colors? I need to take a picture in the shade, I didn't realize how much the sun ruined the picture. The pods are a yellow with kind of a red dappling to them.

And the okra has a flower!

I also discovered that the bell pepper I thought looked weird, looks that way because it's a purple bell pepper and not the multicolor mini bell pepper I thought it was. The pumpkin I thought was growing is now gone, I don't think it was fertilized but it sure looked like it was growing at first. I think there are aphids on the pumpkin plants, targeting the flowers and new growth. One of the squash plants has really taken off but I don't see any fruit on it yet.

Rabbits are doing ok, haven't had the misters on recently since it's been lower in temperature. Chickens are doing well too.

Hubby has started the roof project, which means the shingles are off one half of the roof now (east side/road side). You can look up through some of the access holes he's cut into the ceiling and see nail holes of sunshine beaming through. Of course now there's a high chance of rain on Saturday, but yesterday the forecast said 70% so maybe it won't rain at all.

A bunch of prep work can be done today but most of the materials are being delivered tomorrow. He wanted new shingles for this side that faces the front, the other side will get the older mismatched shingles given to us by our neighbor and father in law, since it's facing down the slope of the hill and you can't really see the roof from that side.

We are going to be adding a small eave, so the water won't be able to run directly down the walls anymore. Hopefully it all works the way it's planned and we get a roof that will work for a long time.

DGS2 did that. Happy baby and even happier as he spewed onto us. His older brother did not spit up, instead he had colic consistently. Gotta love those babies. Those toothless grins are so darn cute that you don't care how much they vomit on you! LOL

Happy 3-week birthday! They grow so fast!
