Ah the potty training days! Do everything you can, pull out all your tricks and they’d still rather poop in their pants! I have no suggestions. Maybe husband is right, put big boy underwear on him. Let him pick them out, there’s all kinds of superhero underwear. If he poops in them, take them away because it’s not nice to poop on Superman!

I'd like to actually try to can crushed tomatoes or tomato sauce this year
Super eacy to do. Freeze the tomatoes, dump frozen tomatoes in sink, cover with water. Skins will slide off. Take frozen tomatoes and use your large heavy kitchen knife to chop them while they are partially frozen. They chop into a partilly frozen tomato slush and you just cook it down. Since they are tomatoes, you don't need to ppressure can - just water bath.
He is also refusing to poop on the potty. He'll go pee just fine, absolutely refuses to poop except in his pullups. Even bribing with candy gets nothing. It's been months. Hubby is fed up, wants to make him wear underwear so he really feels it, except I don't think it's going to work since he knows exactly when he poops and immediately asks to be changed.
Summer is coming. He can go naked with the potty seat in the back yard. I potty trained all 3 of my boys that way. So much easier than cleaning poop out of panties :tongue. lol

Eventually he will go when he's supposed to. I'm halfway tempted to make him help clean kid 2 next time he poops, so he can see how yucky it is. Dunno how well that might work though.

I'm kinda annoyed we took so long to start potty training him. We kept getting told he would regress if we had started training him before kid 2 was born (they are just under 2 years apart) but I wish we had started before kid 2 was born, even if kid 1 did regress. He's still not trained fully and kid 3 is gonna be here before he gets it together.
