Anything like what you got is good to use... Be careful to not get it in the eye but it looks like this ram is one of the "one in a million"..... maybe not a "RINGO" but it sounds like he is a close second.... especially for being new to you and still sooooo accepting...

He does seem to be like Ringo. Everything they are seeing with this one is what we saw with Ringo.

Oreo gave me a scare. She started frothing at the mouth after about 5 minutes on pasture. Captured her and gave her about 10cc of peanut oil in drench gun. Talked with @Baymule and I will get more baking soda to leave out.

Any idea of what caused the frothing??
I’d have no clue what/when/where/how anything in that case - always learning from all of you.

I THINK it was from new chunk of pasture which has a lot of a plant that was not in last section plus a lot of clover.

Clover is known for frothy bloat in cattle... imagine it could do the same in sheep. Some animals are more susceptible to it...

That looks like the tiny yellow flowers you see in pastures this time of year. They are toxic. My sheep will eat it, maybe some sort of self wormer? They nip the flowers off. Yay! No seed!

On closer examination the leaves are slightly different, but there are 2 types.

Wonder what it is. Does your phone give you the "info" on what's in the photo?? I've identified a lot of things here that way.

Tonight I started training the 6 new ewes on electric fence. I have 2 strand fence set up a few inches inside night pen. Goal is to integrate and start grazing this weekend.
