Aria must be behaving herself. She sure looks pretty.
Are you swimming yet? Ponds are full and overflowing. Up near the farm road, but on my dirt/rock road is a good size pond or small lake. It overflowed into the road last night and water was over the road in the usual places in front of my place. It rained all night and going to rain all day. Sheep pen is a swamp. :(

First grazing session going okay. Who cares about flock rank when there is FRESH GRASS!! Bruno is alternating between concerned and disinterested that new sheep are out of night pen.

Look at all that beautiful GRASS! And trees for shade! Utopia for sheep!
Bruno is such a good boy. Maybe not a LGD, but he’s a darn fine farm dog and recognizes the importance of keeping HIS farm and the sheep safe from intruders.

Total rainfall here is probably going to hit 5”, maybe more. Ewes lot is a mess. The other pen holds Cooper and 8 ewes, it’s not so bad.

And you’ve stayed dry? I’m glad you haven’t had this storm! Ewes just ran in from the field. It finally rained so hard that standing in the slop under their shelters was better than grazing and getting rained on.

Grazing attempt 2 with a newly charged battery and MUCH more room. I think yesterday's breakout was my error based on how they are spaced out today.

Unfortunately, it looks like Blaze has injured front right leg in the escapades yesterday. She's not putting full weight on it while walking and kneeling down to graze.

Supposedly Snickers was zero eggs of any worm species. That seems really improbable... Also not reassuring that I dropped off sample Monday and had to call Friday. When I did front desk couldn't located test results and had to email me later...

Also wondering now if the a*hole neighbor with his drone spooked the sheep. Someone in the subdivision has a new toy and zero manners.

To be clear current Texas & Federal laws support:
- He needs to register drone and get recreational license if it is over 250grams.
- He can legally TRANSIT other people's private property without permission.
- It is a FELONY to record and KEEP video or still of private property without consent as a person engaged in RECREATION.
- It's a federal offense to shoot down or interfere with a UAV in any manner.

HOWEVER:
- Hovering over my house and kids playground viewing them play is RUDE. And should be against some sort minor's rights to privacy. Especially when you consider I'm still working on youngest boy not going out only in underwear...
- I have 13acres, if they wanted to view nature go look at the pond or woods. Instead they are hovering over the 2 acres with house and sheep barn.😡

ETA: They can be charged under the new Texas Invasive Video Recording Law if they time it wrong. The menfolk regularly pee on trees vs running back to house. Recording them do that on our private property where there is a visual screen to ground bound neighbors which leads to expectation of privacy counts.

This is another area where technology is advancing faster than the laws can keep up. They are still written from paradigm that only adults and mostly professionals have drones. Not any kid with a few hundred bucks.
