I changed Snicker's crayon to a warm purple today (day 16). If I don't see any marking with the purple in next 2 weeks, can I assume he bred them all in first pass?

Supposedly works that way . Sometimes a miss. But, if they did mark before, excellent probability they were bred.

So I had a suprise when I went out for evening feed.

Snickers was by himself in other pen looking very disgruntled. I checked the gate between the night pens and it was bent but intact. I guess the ladies jumped the electric but Snickers didn't follow.

I'm going to sort them back out and give Snickers another 2 weeks of fun. Maybe purple crayon will show up...

I also have to fix the water trough. It's broken now vs drip that would take 3 days to fill bucket. Saving grace of tote system, the maximum spill is 375gal vs a broken line running all day long. I think I lost 150gal this time.

Maybe they were tired of Snickers....ya know how men can be.

Phooey on the broken water tote. Just another thing you have to fix.

So Shy Lady is getting bred now. I couldn't seperate her from the other oklahoma ladies. Aria is back with Mocha and Oreo.
