I flushed the punctures with the chlorohexidine wash I have and they are still open not abscessing. She's not running a fever so I think the injected antibiotic is working. I have another dose to give her tomorrow. I've been giving her nutridrench and Vitamin B Complex gel. She's eaten a small handful of grain for me.

Neither ram lam sold but that's okay. They were on the young side.

I was the only one with ewe lamb for sale. She actually sold before the first lecture section.
Congratulations!

I have noticed that at sheep shows where they have an auction sale the ewes all sell for more than the majority of the rams. Poorer quality ewes sell for as much or more than better quality rams. It's a matter of supply and demand - you need more ewes and less rams in a flock so there are more rams available for sale.

The Western States Dorper show has a limit of how many rams can be entered and sold. They require entrants to enter and sell a certain number of ewes per number of rams entered and sold. Otherwise, the sale would consist of just rams. In private sales you can price your ewe lambs higher than your ram lambs. If it is an auction sale, you can always put a reserve on your animal.
