Seeing everyone’s lambing pics is making me nostalgic. I miss my sheeple so very much. I want to find a couple of lambs as soon as possible before Boone comes home. I just haven’t found anything I can afford yet and whatever I get has to fit in a large crate because our truck is still broken. ( He is a mechanic and I have been waiting for 7 years now. He keeps promising to fix it so I’ve been paying for tags and insurance all these years for no reason. 🤪 You’d think after 30 years, I’d have figured this out 😝)

Prayers and fingers crossed. We go to town Feb 1 for rheumatologist so maybe there will be something for me then.

Got the wall behind the stove finished, and everything on that side of kitchen washed…again. There is no exhaust fan for the stove so everything is constantly getting covered in grease. There must be an answer to this. 😬
Anyway, I got to cross 1 thing off my list.
Painting cupboards and getting counters done next on house list…when my back, wrists and hands recover from today. I’m anxious to finish! ☺️

Looks great!
I’ve got a thing that sits on top of my pots/pans it’s a screen thing. I think they’re called splatter screens. Helps a lot with grease. Just something to check out.

I have 2 really good ones and another so-so one which seem to help on stovetop, but the walls, utensils, pans, counters, etc all are covered constantly from what must travel by air or something

Your kitchen is so nice. Beats the heck out of a double wide mobile home!
Lol. Thanks ☺️

You should have seen it when we came. If you notice, there isn’t a single built in cupboard or counter. We bought 3 double cupboards at Lowe’s, put one under one of the windows and the other two back to back to form a 4x4” island, then put plywood on top. I pilfered a small chest, a really grody old cutting table from the ranch and a hoosier cabinet. There used to be 2) 6’ sinks ( the cool old black farmhouse sink and a HUGE stainless steel stand-alone sink that I had to stand on a stool to reach the bottom 😂) There was a super low sort of work island that hurt my back to use and a pass thru to what is now our living room made by hand so the drawers with no slides were too heavy for me to open or close. Under that hood was a 64” wide stove that was 1/2 griddle, which was removed because it was costing $500 mo in propane to keep all the pilots lit.

I originally was preparing food on top of a barstool and my butcher block after tearing out ugly, unusable island. We live in the old cookhouse. (There is a reason I have such a large pantry) There were two really long tables the cowboys sat it, which I turned into our living room.

There are 3 handmade doors and a set of double handmade doors on front of our building. The first was the cowboys access in/out, the second the cooks, the 3rd is the well and my washer/dryer, and the doubles go to the ranch walk-in.

K9 Transporter texted tonight. Thinks he will have Boone here by 23rd. I better see if I can fix the zippers on the soft crate.

A really nice woman we met up with when driving to pick up Heath 8 years ago, wound up losing her marriage and her place in N California. She moved to Twin Falls, ID and her last of 3 Maremmas died this year. She was devastated. I told her about the collie on Christmas Day, sent her pics and related everything #5 and her SIL said about him. She’s in a similar situation to me, not as remote, but very much alone. I suspected she was looking for the same thing in a dog that I was.
She texted today to tell me #5 called her and they are going to meet up halfway and she’s gonna take that gud boi home with her. She’s over the moon and I am so pleased for her.!!
I know it will make a difference in her life.

Hope it works out for all concerned and the dog finds a person who can concentrate on just him... that's great.

The collie has a home and things turned out for the good . A gold star for you for putting your friend together with the collie.
And your puppy is on the way! Time to get a couple of sheep!

Fatigue is bad today. All my joints are inflamed and my muscles hurt. Very difficult walking. I would try taking one of my adderall to combat the fatigue but my blood pressure has been super high. Can’t stay awake, keep dropping phone. Hurts to hold kind so I can read. This is so stupid! Grateful that Randy can feed the horse, chickens and rabids
