Fen and Boone have been a riot!
There are no locks on any doors on the ranch. We had to put a bolt lock on the back door to control who goes in and out since Fen can open it both ways and Boone can open it from the outside, so Randy put it in backwards with the key inside so the dogs can’t pull it out and lose it (or lock us in and hide it, in Fen’s case 😂).
I left it unlocked today and put Fen’s tug back on it and he made good use of it. He would open it and let Boone in the house so he could play with him, then when he’d had enough of him, he would let them both outside, get Boone to follow him to the back of the yard then RACE back inside so the door would close before Boone got back 😂
Boone hadn’t tried opening it since he’s had no luck since we put the lock on it, so things worked out just the way Fen liked it 😂

That's TOO SMART for comfort!! 😱🤣🤣🤣
Leave it to an English Shepherd!

@peteyfoozer - I've been meaning to reach out to you about this breed. I've followed Fen's story since you started posting it. I've gotta say I'm a Fen fan! He may have had a few hiccups, but I believe he will turn into something even more special than he already is.

I've had 4 ES's and still have two. They are wicked smart and great problem solvers - even if you don't want them to be, lol.
