Heath was my Guardian Angel. I miss him terribly. But I am grateful for Fen. I can’t imagine life without him now

Made the trip into town for TheMan’s post surgical appointment. He’s doing amazing. Two weeks after a total hip replacement and he’s walking without a cane, barely a limp, and wound up driving because he wS more comfortable. So glad to see him out of pain!
On the other hand, I seem to be in some kinda helluva flare. Pain everywhere, even places I don’t usually have pain but the worst is I’m having “episode”. Will suddenly feel like I’m intoxicated and my balance goes to h3ll. I feel like a ping pong ball bouncing off of things. Whatever it is, Fen can smell the change and alerts to it. Have dbl Dr appt in couple weeks and hope they can figure out what’s causing it.
Fen was a really good boy all day. He did an excellent job tasking as I fumbled stuff all day. There were “Service Dogs” everywhere. I suspect they are imposters. One got loose from its owner and ran at Fen I blocked him and they caught their dog before he made contact. Fen never moved. He held his position and watched quietly. I was really proud of him. He tried really hard today and did a good job
Tomorrow will probably be a pain day as the day after town triggers something awful in my immune system, but this week I am going to start harvesting the apples for applesauce, pies and cider vinegar.
Even with the pain and balance issues, it was a really good day, thanks to Fen.

Glad to hear things are going so well with TheMans op! Relief from pain will probably give him an attitude adjustment - a good one. More helpful perhaps.

Hope your day isn't as bad as you feel it may be with after effects of "town". Your episodes -- are you eating when you should? Just be careful with dizzy and falls being possible.

Sounds like Fen was perfect!! good boy.

I’m so glad The Man’s Dr appointment went well and that he’s feeling so good. That’s a wonderful recovery after major surgery.
I’m sorry that you are having such a hard time. I hope the doctor can figure out what is causing this flare up. Fen is such a help and a comfort. He’s learning, he’s getting there, on his way to becoming the best friend and helper for you.

Yes. I’m eating and drink as much water as I can. It’s all I drink. A few months ago when it first started happening again I thought maybe it was dehydration but yesterday was not the case and it lasted until I fell asleep. Falling is a definite possibility and scares me. I still have the knot on my hip they replaced last year from my fall off the ladder. I hate being afraid to fall over, since I used to break colts and the possibility of hitting the ground if one got squirrely was always a possibility

My sister has polymyocitus, a neurological muscular disease. At one time we all thought she was going to die. She was in a wheelchair, could barely swallow and it was looking bad. She found the right doctor who got her in remission. The prednisone she took saved her life, but ate away at her bones. She had both hips and both shoulders replaced. She is 76, doing good, but can get a little wobbly at times. She is subject to falls, I just pray that she never injures herself badly enough that she can’t call for help.

Hopefully your doctor can treat you and get this in remission.

Thanks baymule! I’m sorry about your sister but that’s awesome she’s in remission! I understand about the pred. I was on it too, for years. 68 years without a cavity and it caused a couple teeth to just break in two. Luckily not my front ones.
I just hope they can figure out what this is and what’s causing it
