Our rabbits and chickens get along so well that the head of each tribe have a weekly meeting to discuss relations and communal living. Meanwhile the other chickens get caught up on the gossip.

Anyone else from Colorado, or close to the SW?

We have wild Eastern Cottontails and the chickens get along with them fine. Somewhere I have a picture with a bunch of my chickens and a rabbit nearby. "One of these is NOT like the others!".

@cats_incredulous - I have always wanted to raise rabbits but am concerned with the heat here in central New Mexico (just one state down).

My hubby is building us a house on 4 acres. We are calling it "Hip Hillbilly Homestead". We have so much to learn (well, I do) about building a successful homestead, self sufficiency. This seems to be a great place to learn of such things.
