No, I'm not planning on getting Dan a jersey, but I can appreciate and admire nice ones. My tank fill guy does Ai's for his company, so I guess it's too bad goats keep us happy.

They're so pretty, but I'm not patient enough for one of those doe eyed dears. Plus, the two year old can currently break into the pasture and throw a tantrum because he wants a goat to come and play in the shop with him, and flop all over and under those goats, and they just stand there while he screams, not even bothered. Then when the tantrum is done I open the gate and he leads his goat to the shop so they can "play" (he pretends he's milking and also pretends he's a goat eating with them while they clean out the feed dishes and walk around and explore). He couldn't do that with any other animal. The goats are intelligent enough and patient enough to just wait him out.

Not that I let him break into the pasture often and he's always supervised and almost always by me. I'm sticking with goats for now.

Our breeding season has started. I'm pretty sure Riker ears cidrs. He will be tied next year.
He may also have had something to do with a doe with a drool covered leg that probably refused to come in at night who is now limping like she's been bruised. Let's get this over with, I guess.
Here's Pete's buddy, Aramis, aka RePete. RePete hates me because he's dam raised.

Seresto collar change day for my untouchable dog, cornered in the barn, lured in by breakfast. The majestic Riker says hi. This is how his mouth "closes". No he's not snarling. He is going okay though. This interaction ended on my terms with me backing away first and him not upset so hopefully next time will be better. This time was better than last. After discovering he was trapped he laid down and submitted and checked out. I wish I cut his nails, but things were going good so I left it.
I got him to eat heart gard crushed in canned food for the first time in his life this month instead of what we usually do for heartworm prevention so one step closer to a normal dog and he gets that round worm prevention.
