Bruce , I'm not picking on you...i grew up in new england...you know yankee humor ! Good luck with this years winter, i don't miss the snow at all...just the birch trees.I think that might be too much of a hike.
Checked last night, would be very hard to get to them only to be turned away and have to drive back...ughhhh i feel so badly for themThey are an hour west of Raleigh in NC. If you are even willing and able to get that far, I’m not sure you could get to them with so many roads closed...
We are so spoiled with all of our luxury, imagine life before electricity. ...i sure wouldn't of liked it....but then again, i never thought i would have to pay for a bottle of water !I hope they get power back on soon. After hurricane Ike, we were without power for over three weeks. I know the feeling.....
GREAT !!! Well, beyond great but, you know!
B&B -- yeah, I knew life before electric! You learn and you have lived like that, so it is everyday. Don't want to go without but I sure can do it. Refrigeration is a huge element now but, back then.....they used a canner & cellar, a cold spring of water. Life is what you make it. We are nicely spoiled.
