With this many lambs out there, the afternoon frolic is something to see. Shadow was having the time of his life (literally) :) when I went out to get him just before dark. It's a good thing he answers to his name since I can't do the usual baa call to him since the whole flock starts baaing back. :)

The bottle lamb is beyond spoiled. He spends most of the day out with the sheep and we feed him down at the stall. His name (Shadow) really fits. He was out with the sheep most of the day and was fighting sleep for most of the evening after he got his last bottle but when I was wandering around the kitchen, he was always right behind me and flopped down right next to my foot wherever I moved. :)

He is big enough now that he can jump up onto my lap but he usually stands there and waits for an invitation. His survival instinct is good enough that even if we had planned on sending him to the sale, he would not be going now. :)

You need to post the picture of him wearing his Depends that Teresa sent me. Brilliant! No more fussing with baby diapers that fall off! And big enough to cover his belly and catch the gallons of pee these little guys tinkle out!

The bottle lamb finally started venturing out among the lambs and he was laying with a bunch of them when we went out to get him just before dark. He crashed about 5 minutes after coming in and he is still out so he was worn out.

I'll make a point of getting some pictures in the next few days since this crop of lambs is the best we have had and we have had great lambs. We aren't even posting anything about sales but we have had enquiries from people that had talked to folks that knew our sheep.

We have had quite a few bottle lambs but this one is a true pain in the rear, He is cute as he can be but he is worse than a toddler. He has to mouth everything, and he has managed to pull all things off of tables. Teresa is losing patience so he may be relegated to being with the sheep and being fed in the field before too long.
