Bymule is right - for poultry/birds you need to have the tmer on several hours before dawn then let the natural dusk send the birds to roost. Otherwise they get caught off the perches or out of the night nesting areas making them vulnerable to predators.
The vulnerability these guys are having is broad daylight, they don't go out till 0800 hrs when I let them out and put themselves away way before dusk. Ducks go in, guinea fowl then geese.

Got the injection pump and everything back together, went to fire up the excavator, no go. Injection pump was not rebuilt right, get to rip it all back off. Was going to use it to load the livestock shelter, tried the backhoe this morning and it just pised me off to the point it's a ball of metal now. No livestock shelters this auction. Only thing stopping me from shooting all the birds is trying to catch the drone or whatever is tormenting them.
