Honestly Wyandottes are a breed you can't help but love. Big and great producers. Great moms if they go broody too.
What do y'all know about Orpingtons or Australorps? Had a lot of breeds, probably some crosses, nothing scares me, just wondering what I might be in for.
Y'all amaze me with your handiness.
Was up around 5:45 for a breather run this morning. Racing Saturday.
We're only just getting into the upper 80's, and I'm already sick of this heat. Oh well, going to be what it is this summer.
Quiet here this morning!
Off to a team running race that is also a camping trip with friends. Time to get my last couple miles in, and build some confidence.
I'm going to be an Ag teacher in about a year, and there's a thing or two I can say about the school system. Truly even as a Christian...
Tried to sleep in this morning. Made it a whole ten minutes later then yesterday. Relearning to sleep through roosters that enjoy being awake at 4.
Work today, then going to go across town, going to see a friend, and then stay with family, and repack my stuff to go on a camping and running...
Well, sheep update...
Last Monday, I was headed to visit my parents when I got the call that the sheep had run loose and a couple hours of searching, no sign of the sheep. If I'm being completely honest, I encouraged my car to go a little faster, and got home to join the search. We saw poop...
Just freeloaders... Had all of 2 chicks (1 hen) last year, and down to only a couple of egg layers from the previous year. Can also sell pullets for a decent price in a few months.
Should've made some coffee here. But had breakfast, and waiting on people to get to work to start moving sheep for shearing later.
Not sure when I was last on here. Was headed home Monday to check on stuff and see the horses when I got a call that the sheep got out. Was home for about 48 hours...
Well, typical Poka weekend here. 13.1 mile run this morning, then back to make brownies and fold laundry. Checked on the horse, and now trying to pack my car to leave for the summer.
Another beautiful day here. Still chilly, but sunny.
Trying to pack to move in a couple days, going about as well as it can go with ADHD pulling me in every direction.
Y'all have a blessed day.
Just back from a casual 10 mile trail run this morning. Off to church after I eat my 10:15 lunch
I would not doubt you could easily out run me, even now.
And wowwwww that Best Ranger Competition sounds intense. Very impressive that some people can do it!
Hahaha, I like where your head is...
Is now a good time to warn you guys I am training for a 52 mile race?
Why in the world I decided I wanted to run that race is far beyond me, but I guess I'm past the point of no return.
Maybe prepare yourselves, if your goal is to run 52 yards at once, I believe in you.
I just have to say Bay, picturing your dogs panic when they saw you with a face covering...
Anyways, just back from 17 miles of running on the trails in town. Finishing lunch and going to rest for an hour or two. This running thing is tiring, even as a young person.
Here's to new adventures!
I've been saying for the past couple years that I'm focused on running, and I'll get back to the barn some day. I love my barn fix from the horse stuff. Occasionally I miss the chores and countless hours I used to spend in the barn, but I rarely have time to miss it...
Back after a few days of road tripping.
Got the next couple of weeks to get my act together and also just enjoy life.
Lots of running still. Ran 34 miles last weekend, almost got me.
