He looks so sad! Nice that you have a pen for him. We are bringing Ozel (Turkish for Special) home in May when we come to Texas. Time for her to meet the older 2 girls and get some California sheep training.

I’ll be gone this weekend. Meeting @Margali in Weatherford Friday evening for a Katahdin sheep seminar Saturday. I’ll be home probably late Saturday night. That kennel is a good place to leave Mr. Buford to keep him out of trouble while I’m gone.

There was a huge oak in the yard that covered that kennel in cooling shade, along with one by the driveway, both died last summer along with several others and I had them taken down.

@Baymule GATESVILLE, TEXAS!! Nearish to Waco and due West of you.
Oh hell, I’m old and senile. Where did I get Weatherford from?
Yup, tickets say Gatesville. Oh well, I would have found it when I went to enter the address in my phone. Grateful for GPS, I remember the “old days” of folding paper maps! Hahaha! MAYBE I would have found it or just taken a tour of Texas! 🤪🤪🤪

DD just called. They are turning around and going back home. They are getting blown all over the road, it is storming real bad. Houston always floods and they have to go through Houston or meander through small towns in the far flung countryside as there isn’t a direct route. It’s raining so hard that they can hardly see the road. As much as I’ll miss them, I’d rather they be safe and go back home.

Just talked to my sister. She was at the San Jancinto River, checking its level. Lake Conroe has opened the gates at the dam to let the water out. The river is out of its banks. Her house floods, so she is concerned. Y’all please pray for her. She has her own reasons for staying there, I’d of high tailed it out of there a long time ago. But it’s home to her, she loves it and won’t leave. I wish she would leave, but I understand how much she loves it there.
