So sorry about the loss of lambs. Try some oral Selenium/Vita E paste. It doesn't have much selenium but as a quick jolt to newborns and up to a week, couldn't hurt. It is not prescription. Any more lambs due? You could give it to the ewes before lambing.

Chance of rain nearly every day for next 10 days. Plus high heat. That’s another reason for a real barn, I can put the radiant heat barrier under the metal roof and it will break the heat by as much as 10-15 degrees. The present set up is gonna be hot with little relief.

I opened the blinds this morning and saw a white ewe with a chocolate brown lamb, up and nursing. Put on rubber boots , let dogs, Cooper and girls out on the field and went to see the new lamb.

Mom is Rainbow, daughter of Lucy and Ringo, granddaughter of Miranda and black head Dorper. Rainbow was bred to Cooper. Lamb is a chocolate ewe with a white spot on both sides, white tip on her tail and a white star on her head. Second generation recordable.

Cooper does throw some color! @Mike CHS will she keep this dark color or will she fade out to a lighter color?
