I’m thinking the year number, then a lamb number, and not even all of them, just the keepers. Ram lambs would get their scrapie tag only since they would go to auction. AND stay on top of things and record/register!

My numbering system is year, lamb number. So this year they’re 2301 and on. Everyone gets a scrapie tag which also doubles as their farm tag. Everyone also gets a name and a name tag.

I use colored tags - each ram has a different color assigned to him. I don't use years and numbers. I now have tobe carefu when i write Gr and Or on my lists since sometimes they look alike One time i kept looking for a specific Orange tag ewe then realized I had accidentally written GR!
:hide DS1 was not pleased.

It was fun! Everyone was having a good time. A family brought Mom/Grandma, an old lady in a wheelchair to the show. Elvis sang to her and she had a big happy grin.

This guy was a good Elvis. He promoted another show in 2 weeks in League City, between Houston and Galveston. It’s going to be a whole lot of Elvis impersonators, plus Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra. It’s going to go Friday through Sunday. He also promoted a 5 day cruise in February 2024 with lots of Elvis impersonators. A cruise! I had no idea impersonators were that big of a deal. I don’t think I would want a whole weekend of Elvis wanna be’s and not a cruise either. You could leave a weekend show, but how would you get off a cruise ship?

Looking out window…… the other 2 registered ewes that were with Ringo until he died have another 2 weeks to go. Heck, I’ll give them until July 15 before I totally give up. One is rather fat, baby weight? The other is slim and trim. The next few weeks will tell.

Wow, look at you -- a REAL night out. NO JEANS! 😱🤣🤣🤣
I KNOW! Ol’ Baymule can clean up and look presentable.
Sitting outside in faded, paint splattered blue jeans, torn T-shirt I wouldn’t let the dog sleep on and rubber boots. My farm uniform!

ETA……… who the he// is that old lady in my picture? 😀

Maybe a stupid question- Do you guestimate number of lambs and get preprinted or do you write numbers on yourself?
