What we got done yesterday. There’s new plywood under that. I marked rafters with spray paint.

Where I started this morning. I got a nice view!

Where I got to go!

Had to rip up a piece of edge trim.

I got two more 48” strips laid out this morning. Only need 1 1/2 more to reach the top, but done. Not enough on the roll to do another strip and not carrying a new roll up the ladder when I’m already hot, tired and hot. I’m cooling off, on second bottle of water. I’ll go back up soon to put tarps back and secure them.

I’m off the roof for the day. I went back up and secured the tarps. There were 2 vents on the other side that didn’t look rain proof to me…..

So I cut a small square of underlayment, then cut a long slot to fit around the vent, laid it on the down slope of the roof, and tacked it down.

Then I cut another one, laid it on the upward slope of the roof, overlapping the first one. Tacked it down. Then put roof pitch, a tar asphalt stuff, around the vent tube.

I’ve had a shower, just gonna sit here and look stupid for awhile…..

I’m not replacing all the decking, just at front and back edge.

I need another alarm clock. My old one died but I had an extra. That alarm is too quiet and I slept through it for an hour!
Ha ha ha ---- I use my phone for the alarm AND when I really have to get up I put it under my pillow -- it works!
