Cooper bred Eve today. Frimplepants and Ewenique were flirting at the cow panel divider this afternoon but wouldn’t go through the gate. About 45 minutes ago the flirting got more intense so I went outside and opened the gate between the pens. Frimplepants went to go see Cooper. A few minutes later, Ewenique went through the gate too. Frimplepants is being bred now. Ewenique is following them around. Coopers tongue is hanging out. LOL

I had the gate open for Frimplepants to go through, she was hesitant. Cooper tried to go through, which would not have been good with all the “underage” ewes! LOL I pushed him back. He was very compliant and let me push him out of the way. Good boy!

Still dark outside. Hope Cooper survived the ladies affections overnight. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Yesterday I painted treated 2x6x20 with Thompson water seal, all sides. Trailer floor is rotted, has holes. Chris will pick it up today or tomorrow and put the new floor in.
At least I had a shady spot to work, still soaked in sweat though.

Those hussies! Cooper is happy - tongue hanging out? Ram equivalent of a cigarette afterwards?

This is a map of Texas counties under a burn ban, mine included.
Wow! Notice that little northeast corner? You could have stayed there! LOL :gig We miss you!

Been working outside, just came in, heated up some Hamburger Helper. I haven’t made that in years. I’m remembering why.

I mowed next to the woods/fence line. Mowed some nasty weeds. Drove truck in field to pick up branches. I want to get back on working on this fence.

I filled back of truck, drove it to gate of sheep field where the burn pile is. Stopped to have a water break and cool off. Got back on truck annnnd……. It’s dead. It’s maybe batteries, starter, alternator??? Chris is bringing sons trailer back sometime this afternoon and he’ll take a look at it. He’s going to take my flatbed to put a new floor in it.

Dead truck.

So I mowed some more weeds and put tractor away. Then I stacked the 2x6x20’ in the trailer and tied them down.

Hope truck is an easy fix, I need it next week. Starting Monday.
