I woke up to pouring rain, thunder and lightening. I don’t know how long it had been raining, but it was coming down hard. Still raining. Then there will be a week of sunshine , good for the grass. @Ridgetop got a lot of rain at the ranch too!

It’s still dark outside. Pouring down hard.

Share please! We have a chance..just a chance. The two inches we got previously is gone, gone, gone. The cracks in the pasture are still 3+ inches wide.
I don’t think this is going to reach you. I went outside and blew real hard! It’s moving east, looks like there are some spot showers your way, maybe there’s a chance!

I got 1 1/4” of rain! Looking at my inadequact shelters reminded me that once the ground is saturated there will be no dry spot for sheep or dogs.

The ewe crew pen. The shelters will keep rain off their backs, but what good is that if it runs in under their feet?

Cooper and girls pen. Cooper staked out his dry spot. It’s also his favorite shade spot.

The sun is peeking through, will be sunny for a week, but we have 2 seasons here—wet and dry. Enter in the wet season. :(
