Yeah, we were in the single digits overnight last week... last night it only got down to 53... it is slick in the pastures and you can sink out of sight in some spots...
Birdie had her appt with my old vet this past Wed. He said he would remove the growth for $5-$600.
HUGE difference from the Richmond referral (discount?) place of $2000 and up! Scheduled for Feb 13th.

More rain coming Sat & Sun. I don't remember this as a child (... who really pays attention to the weather then anyway?) but it seems to me that over the 5-7 years, that late Jan and all of Feb has become our wettest months with constant flips between hard freezes, quick thaws, lots of rain and maybe some snow.
Last year March was so wet here that a lot of farmers couldn't work fields....me either, so no garden. Those who work early have areas drown out. Looks like it may be a repeat for inconvenient rain this year. .
