I'm a fair weather farmer when the weather is fair, otherwise I'm not a farmer ;)

First cup of coffer done, fence moved and tested for voltage. ⚡

Luckily it sounds like most of the subdivision was already awake before my scream. Sorry folks. Happy Easter
I have a small hand HELD tool to test the fence ;) I have accidentally tested it without a tool maybe 3 times. I don't recall it being enjoyable.

Working on the second cup. Twas a foggy morning, it moved in, moved out, and decided to come back for round two! Had a wonderful Easter with DS and DDIL and their dog Greta over. Had fun target shooting 🎯and finished off with "ham"burgers (beef - had ham ones in school 🤢) with homegrown lettuce and other fixin's desert a combo of berry crumble they brought and passion fruit curd I made from our passion fruit.
On to a week of all sorts of stuff. Set up today for tomorrow's shearing of three. Should be fun - looking forward to it.

@Bruce I have a handheld meter too. In this case, the ground clip popped off ground rod and I automatically grabbed for it. Managed to catch the metal sides of the alligator clip not the plastic.
I could have maybe clicked the laughing emoji "like" but I KNOW the pain so I can't laugh at you ;)

My neighbor has fancy vinyl covered wooden corral fencing and in order to keep her horses from chewing it she added a hot wire around the top. Her mare and foal were in the corral to give them more space than in one of the barn stalls and she added a hay barrel next to the fence so she could feed over the fence easily. There is a steep hillside above the corral with a path to the barn/hay storage above where she feeds from. One day she was feeding and when leaning over the fence from the upper path to get the hay flake properly into the barrel she slipped and fell headfirst into the barrel! She was stuck and couldn't get out because her arms were trapped over her head in the bottom of the barrel. The horse decided to eat anyway and jammed it's head into the barrel alongside her, really making it hard to move. To make matters worse she had pulled the hot wire loose when she fell and it was wrapped loosely around her legs - still connected to the current!
:ep Every time she kicked to try to free herself from the barrel she got zapped! Her children were in the house but couldn't hear her muffled cries for help from the bottom of the barrel. Her husband came home from work, drove into the garage, and went into the house calling for her. Her screams for help and cries of pain every time her leg hit the loose hot wire went unanswered for about 20 more minutes until he decided to come to the barn looking for her. He finally spotted her jeans covered legs waving above the barrel and came to pull her out. Now she turns off the hot wire before feeding.
This is only one of the crazy horse happenings on our hill. I think the Ridgetop curse has affected everyone on our small private road. :gig

Three day weekend helped us make a lot of progress on spring chores. We had a nice dinner with an onery ram as the special guest. He was yummy with a mustard glaze. Speaking of- My chickens stopped breaking their eggs. Colonel Mustard for the win!
Hens really don’t like mustard if the angry growls of one furiously cleaning her bill is any indication. I need to backtrack on my thread reading here. If I haven’t acknowledged a comment I probably haven’t seen it.
