A friend and I texted back and forth dark humor about billionaires. She and I share a twisted humor. Here’s one.

Wanna go fishing?
What’ll we use for bait?
BILLIONAIRES!

And coffee is ready! Roofing party at my house, starts at 6:30 AM!

Not physically raining today but, everything is wet! Sunshine later will dry off 👍 clear sunday, rain back Mon/Tue. Got 3" over several days. Grass needed it.

During rain time inside I managed to stub my little toe AND yesterday sprained my little finger joint where it connects @hand... Left hand swollen & sore at outer fingers. Basically useless.😉 Need to get back out where sore back and shoulders are more tolerable!! 🤣 Topical and Motrin in use. Swelling limitations.

Well, here's the sun arriving! Coffee done. Probably should dress and get outside to do whatever I can, considering I'm "one handed" for a few days now 😵‍💫😖🤞

Whew iced coffee and world events. Putin may be facing a coup. Closer to home the beautiful oak beside our driveway gate fell. Pics reversed 🤷‍♀️

That was a big oak. Looked good from the pictures. That is a shame, but at least it didn't fall on the fence or the gate or anything. Lot of firewood there...
Haven't had the radio or anything on... will have to catch up on the Putin mess... did here yesterday that someone was unhappy that they were being fired on or something when they were fighting FOR Putin... that may have been part of it...

It was a nice tree we hated to lose it. The severe wind was last weekend. I’d been side eyeing it all week with no particular worries (was it shifting and I noticed but didn’t Notice?). It stormed briefly yesterday evening and down it came. I’m not a woodworker but I’ll look for possible projects/ art.

Agree -- shame to lose that beauty. Guess it was it's time 🤷 only tree in my front yard has been leaning for years, expect to find it down one day. With heavy winds I always look to see if still standing. It was a twig with a few leaves when I planted it 20+ yr ago. Tall but not as branched as your oak.
