@peteyfoozer -- Happy birthday & anniversary!!!

Yesterday was auction day. Truck still down, DGD at work and her truck gone there, so no goats going. As it turns out, it was devine intervention! Prices were

. The poultry numbers were waaay too many, livestock came late because of, and rain was coming in and people leaving.

. Sales were SO BAD I almost bought sheep!

DIsmal. Hot, too.. Best sale was a lone heifer calf...bonkers! $790. Maybe 300#.
Sooooo. Now that I have these youngins still here, I'll need to work up a solitary pasture to house, feed, grow out -- possibly until Nov.

don't want to be castrating in this weather -- heat, flies, etc. Believe the daddies will be babysitting!
I need to find a big "yard sale" venue! Have boxes and boxes of stuff that was moms. Avon collectables, 2nd & 3rds of household things...I NEED to clear out and downsize. Yeah, kids already have what they want from it. Avon almost had to file bankruptcy when she stopped buying!!

There are a few work jobs on my portal. I'm really not interested. But -- need to do & stay employed for winter. Better make time to get those done.
For now another coffee, chores, etc, etc....
