Mornin all. Another beautiful non triple digit day here, from the storms that rolled through. Enjoy it before they come back along with the dew point in the 70's & 80's.
Here's a dime and have a cup on ol' big Joe and _________________.

Yep. We have that tropical humidity going on here. Is really saps your energy! Then becomes rain when "systems" blow thru. Have that today, again...hope to NOT walk thru it as yesterday😖🤣. My pastures are enjoying it. Of course, drought can still happen.

The corn crops have gone from one foot to six foot tall in just 3-4 weeks!!! Tasseled with ears formed. Amazing! Farmers got a late start but things caught up nicely.

Better finish my morning wake up & go do stuff. :old :frow

I've noticed up north with the longer days (in the summer) and generally less clay most crops catch up pretty quickly. Like ND getting 3-4 hay cuttings while we hope for 2. Bismark is 18 hrs away. Same with corn in NE. In NE last year working with some guys from LA, the state, they mentioned talking to someone at home and it was dark there and they couldn't believe it was still light out up north. He thought it was the 1 state west not the 3 states north. Although it don't take much east west to change sun up/sun down times.

No coffee yet this morning. Hardly slept. DH woke me up several times but mainly I couldn't get into more than a doze. Legs kept cramping and I was constantly thirsty. I think I dehydrated yesterday. Working alone I remember to get water. Yesterday afternoon, DH kept needing help with something, then I would load the boxes I was working with, then DS1 would have a question. Then I had to fetch something - blankets to wrap the furniture, etc. When we were done, I realized I had not had a drink in hours. Probably why I couldn't sleep. No matter, got up early (4 am) and started cleaning off desk and filing paperwork. Pulled paperwork I will need in Texas for NCRS application, updated my farm accounts, will make appointment for DH's knee surgery, and a couple other things that need doing before we leave. Coffee left in pot so will go heat it up for 1st cup.

Was up with bad leg cramps too 😩
Never have them during the day... but they are still bad this late in the AM. Maybe I need to guzzle water instead of coffee

Oh but it does matter...like cattle. The traditional white/dark head is big tip off for carcass $. BUT the eye candy bring more $.....yep, solid brown, solid black and patterned "dapples" people pay. Butcher doesn't.😂. I have all of the colors.👍

Looking on web at "10 most expensive goats" and Boer, dappled Boer, Saanen are 3. That's what I have

But like all animals...buy for purpose! Know your animal & why.
