Gosh @canesisters -- they need a BIGGER generator!! No lights, no water, no bathroom -- that's totally unacceptable!! And so often?!?! NOPE! Hope it's back on very soon.

Somewhere between sun and clouds here. :idunno a rain system in coastal NC, which is close to me. We have chances of showers late as it moves along ENE. Hey, it's summer!! Usual stuff. 😁

I've lost track of days being home & no "schedule". Probably need to go to work one day. Only working 10-15 hrs a week this time of yr. Ok but, also screwy. 🥴🤣. I have to check my phone each morning to know the date and day of week! 😱 Plus pay bills on time

Good Morning all!
I apologize for popping and out. I've been busy planning my wedding which is set for June 15, 2024. We have the wedding party (and HOLY SWEET SUGAR PIES it's a huge wedding party!!!!), the venue, the officiant, the photographer/videographer, menu, color scheme and theme all planned/set. Plus the outfits the guys are going to be wearing. Now to get a DJ and bartender and marriage license (waiting until May). Can anyone guess the theme??? @Baymule , @Mini Horses @farmerjan NO GUESSES from you!!!! but if someone guesses correctly you can verify.

Coffee done, marine layer lifted, first lesson done two more to go.
53-79 today. Spring is definitely duking it out with summer. Skies are clear and a nice ocean breeze. Can’t complain about the weather here. Though rain would be good (but that wouldn’t be normal to get rain here now) probably no rain until November-ish.

Rustic Country style? I am not good with labels or titles of things.

Oh, maybe you have it listed on SS... I went on there to check things and made a few comments on one of creal critters posts. Been busy this morning and haven't gone back. Just got in from picking some free peaches from a tree at a farm we were making hay and the deer are devouring them.

Well, did chores then on to fence repairs. It is tropical humidity out there!! 😥🥺Sweat rolling down face, back, tummy....off forehead into my eyes 😱. A lot of fence places just needs new clips, staples, fence stretch/straightening -- walk it all and do as you "find it" type stuff. Finally, I was so WET I quit. Came in and showered before touching anything! It was noon, so in for a while! 👍 My half day is done.

Was on the roof. Texted neighbor Chase as my safety thing. If I don’t text you in a hour, call to check on me. When he realized I was by myself, he came over. We almost got the back side ready for metal on Saturday. I’m picking it up tomorrow afternoon! I sure owe this guy a lot of work. He’ll be building a house soon-I’ll be there! He says he’s learning stuff from me. LOL We quit at 12:30 , came in cooled off and drank lots of water.

Coffee IS NOT ON :(
Got to work, clocked in, rinsed out my mug ... and the room went dark. Power is our AGAIN! 3rd time in a month.
We have a generator - but that ONLY runs the equipment necessary to keep the business going : network equipment, PC's, scales, printer and 1 big fan. No AC, no lights, no radio, no well pump so no toilet or even hand washing, and NO COFFEE MAKER.
I hope it comes on soon or it's going to be a LOOooooooong hot miserable day.
:barnie:oops: Unplug the printer and plug in the coffeemaker. Wait! No water! Are you legally allowed to remain open with no toilet facilities? Better find a delivery place that can bring COFFEE and water. Pay for it from petty cash.
It was only a few hundred more for the metal.
Worth every penny! But you are doing the work and that might have jacked the price up more than asphalt too. But by doing it yourself you get it done right and can add in the heat barrier which would again have jacked up the price more to install. Good going Roofer Baymule!
